Some of the BIG BOX real estate companies (you know who they are), can charge an additional "processing fee" at closing.
This is disclosed in their listing or contract agreement. It can range fro $250.00 to $500. This is not a required fee by Federal, State, or Local regulations. They say it is a fee to store your records. Records are required to be stored by law. Why are they charging you for this.
Give me a call to list or buy a home. No added fees. All listings are available to ALL Realtors. The BIG BOX name may say we have more buyers, agents, and office space. but do they provide the extra services and lower fee structure a Locally owned, non-franchised real estate company does? Can their agents go that extra step or steps to make your buying or selling experience be the best.
